Our client is a global manufacturer supplying innovative packaging solutions to many of the world’s best-known consumer brands. Their products support food, beverage and household industries, combining sustainability, quality and reliability to meet customer needs worldwide.
THE CORPORATE GL CONTROLLER OPPORTUNITY
This permanent role involves leading financial reporting across a group of EMEA entities, preparing UK GAAP statutory accounts, and ensuring strong compliance with SOX and internal controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead monthly management reporting under US GAAP, including analysis of results, variance explanations and consolidation in OneStream.
- Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts and UK GAAP statutory accounts for multiple legal entities.
- Support tax compliance through transfer pricing documentation, VAT submissions and corporate recharges.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments, ensuring strong SOX compliance and audit readiness.
- Oversee invoicing, government reporting, and ad hoc finance projects while leading and developing a team of three.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
- CIMA or ACCA qualified with 3–5 years’ PQE, with solid experience in financial accounting, budgeting, and statutory accounts (UK GAAP).
- Strong background in finance functions, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Proven ability to lead teams, work to tight deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
- Highly organised, deadline-driven, diligent, and able to communicate effectively across diverse environments.
- Fluent in English, with a continuous improvement mindset and potential to grow within the organisation.
Desirable
- Experience in shared service centres or corporate functions.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and ERP SAP systems.
- Additional European language skills.
- Flexibility to travel within the UK and occasionally Europe.
