A global e-commerce company are looking for a Senior .NET Backend Engineer to join a high-profile project focused on building a new platform that sits above its existing search technology stack. The project will involve creating a lightweight abstraction layer and API architecture that simplifies the user experience, whilst providing a foundation for future search platform evolution. The Role
Working closely with the Engineering Leadership team, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable backend services and APIs that underpin a new platform. This role requires an experienced contractor who can quickly understand requirements, make sound technical decisions, and independently deliver high-quality solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing .NET Core services and APIs
- Building abstraction layers between front-end applications and search technologies
- Developing API services
- Working with Azure cloud services
- Designing and maintaining SQL databases
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders and engineers to refine requirements
- Contributing to architecture and technical decision making
- Producing clean, scalable and maintainable code
