Salary: Grade 4: London £54,920 gross per annum, Nairobi KSH 4,317,193 gross per annum. C40 operates on a spot salary model, paying the same salary according to grade and location.
Term: Fixed Term Contract until 31st May 2028 (subject to final approval of funding).

Position Description:
- Support, coordinate and execute communications strategies for projects across climate action sectors including clean energy, buildings, food, waste, urban planning, transport, climate resilience and air quality.
- Work with Communications and CSN teams to align and coordinate opportunities, outputs, and goals between funder, regional and organisational priorities.
- Lead the drafting, editing and creation of communication materials—key messages, press releases, target audience resources, social media posts, web content, copy, and creative graphics.
- Track programmatic outputs and reporting.
- Ensure programmatic messaging aligns with C40’s mission, voice and graphic identity.
- Support organisational fundraising efforts by developing materials and streamlining communications offerings.
- Provide creative input and participate in brainstorming sessions across the Communications Team.
- Assist in reviewing proposals, scopes of work, and contracts for freelancers, photographers and agencies as needed.
- Contribute to internal workshops, brainstorming and ideation sessions.
- Collaborate on broader leadership actions and objectives within C40.
- Attend, coordinate and provide feedback on cross‑team meetings as a representative of the Communications Team.
- Perform other duties appropriate for the grade.

- Strong writing and editorial skills with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Excellent eye for detail and a concise writing style.
- Effective project management skills.
- Experience developing communication materials across digital channels and formats.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Passion for C40’s work and mission.
- Team‑player with strong relationship‑management skills.
- Preferred but not required: experience in the climate sector.
- Fluency in English—spoken and written; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
