- We are looking for a
Business Applications Manager to join our team in Redwood City, California.
C3 AI runs its finance and business operations on a portfolio of Saa S applications anchored by Net Suite and Atlassian, alongside Open Air, Coupa, SAP Concur, Flo Qast, Workiva, Varicent, Ironclad, Brex, and Avalara.
You will own this portfolio end to end: administration, integrations, SOX change management, access governance, and the vendor relationships behind them, serving as the bridge between Finance, Accounting, Legal, and IT.
This is a hands‑on senior role; you will spend most of your time in the systems, not in status meetings.
The ideal candidate is a deep Net Suite administrator who has run change management in a SOX‑regulated environment, communicates clearly with business stakeholders, and takes pride in shipping changes right the first time.
Responsibilities
- Own day‑to‑day administration and health of the business applications portfolio, with Net Suite as the center of gravity.
- Run the SOX change management process end to end: scope requests with business owners, build and configure in test, coordinate user acceptance testing, secure Controller approval, deploy to production, and validate post‑go‑live.
- Build and maintain integrations between applications (Net Suite Suite Script/Suite Talk, REST APIs, middleware) with sound token management and data handling.
- Own access governance: SSO and SCIM provisioning through Microsoft Entra, quarterly SOX user access reviews, own provisioning in systems and closing manual deprovisioning gaps on applications without SCIM.
- Drive SSO enablement for remaining non‑SSO applications and improve the security posture of the portfolio.
- Manage the business applications request backlog in Jira: triage, prioritize with stakeholders, and communicate delivery timelines.
- Support external audits (SOX, SOC 1) with evidence for change management and access controls.
- Automate repetitive administration through scripting and APIs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years administering business applications, with 3+ years of hands‑on Net Suite administration (roles, permissions, workflows, saved searches, Suite Script).
- Experience running change management and user access controls in a SOX‑regulated environment.
- Working knowledge of at least three additional systems in our portfolio or their direct equivalents (PSA, procure‑to‑pay, expense, close management, contract lifecycle, or incentive compensation tools).
- Jira and Confluence administration experience, including Jira Service Management.
- Experience with SSO (SAML/OIDC) and SCIM provisioning, ideally with Microsoft Entra ID.
- Scripting ability for integrations and automation; Java Script/Python preferred.
- Proven ability to gather requirements from Finance and Accounting stakeholders and translate them into system changes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; you document what you build.
- Net Suite Administrator or Suite Foundation certification preferred.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future company sponsorship.
C3 AI provides excellent benefits, a competitive compensation package and generous equity plan.
