The Role
We\’re seeking a hands-on Site Reliability & Security Engineer to build and secure our cloud infrastructure while establishing robust security controls and compliance frameworks. You\’ll be responsible for both platform stability and implementing security measures across our full-stack architecture (React.js, Go/Rust/Python), as well as collaborating with enterprise client security teams on secure deployment models for on-premise or private cloud implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Security & Compliance
- Design and implement security controls across our infrastructure and applications
- Lead SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance initiatives and security audits
- Establish data privacy policies and security baselines (GDPR, DPA)
- Implement encryption strategies, manage cryptographic keys, certificates, and PKI
- Secure our technology stack (API gateways, Lambda functions, containers, data stores)
- Create security architecture for both SaaS and enterprise on-premise deployments
- Collaborate with enterprise CISO teams on security requirements and integration
Infrastructure & Reliability
- Build and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code
- Secure containerized environments (Docker & Kubernetes) and deployment pipelines
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for security events
- Configure web application firewalls and DDoS protection
- Manage incident response, disaster recovery, and vulnerability remediation
- Optimize system performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in system administration, DevOps, or SRE roles
- Strong AWS cloud security background and infrastructure hardening experience
- Practical knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
- Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability management
- Strong understanding of encryption, PKI, secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10)
- Experience with container security and modern CI/CD pipeline protection
- Knowledge of networking, firewalls, and API security
- Ability to communicate technical security concepts to various stakeholders
Desired Qualities
- Experience with penetration testing tools (HackTheBox, etc.) and security certifications
- Knowledge of enterprise security tools (SIEM, IAM, DLP) and integration patterns
- Experience with Zero Trust security models and network segmentation
- Strong programming skills in our stack languages (Go, Rust, Python)
- Experience working with enterprise security teams and responding to security questionnaires
