What you’ll do: The role of Safeguarding and Security Manager is an exciting opportunity for someone to deliver and further enhance our existing strategies, ensuring that our policies and processes for safeguarding and security, including suicide prevention are robust and compliant. Having already achieved Safeguarding on Rail Accreditation, this role seeks continuous improvements in this massively important area for the railway and our community. The role also involves compliance to the railway industry security requirements so that we can continue to deliver a safe and secure railway. You’ll also be managing and measuring the success of our day-to-day security contract delivery. This role also has on call responsibility.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with the rail industry security requirements.
  • Maintain c2c's safeguarding and security accreditations within a compliant and safety aware department including undertaking risk assessments as necessary.
  • To deliver the requirements within c2c's safeguarding and security strategies, including suicide prevention.
  • Delivery of the day-to-day activities required within our security contract through effective stakeholder contract management.
  • Putting people first - staff and customers, applying a firm, fair, and friendly approach that can deliver c2c's internal and external objectives and standards, along with delivering our core brand values, within budget.
  • Maintain accurate records and create accurate and detailed reports, including for CCTV.
  • To carry out on call duties, including some shift work and weekends.
