An opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the c2c Assets team as an Asset Engineer. The position sits within the Asset Management team under the overall leadership of the Asset and Property Director, reporting directly into the Senior Asset Manager Civils. You will be responsible for managing building related assets across the c2c station portfolio. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion to ensure efficient management of c2c building assets. As an Asset Engineer (Buildings) you will:
- Asset Management of the c2c station portfolio including buildings, footbridges, canopies and platforms
- Develop, justify and manage annual maintenance budget for building assets to deliver PARL scores to meet c2c’s franchise obligations
- Take accountability for and deliver a Buildings related work bank including Asbestos Management programme
- Review periodic Framework contractor performance
- Manage safety, cost, programme and quality requirements in the delivery of c2c inspection / maintenance / renewal works across the Buildings Portfolio
- Undertake site inspections / contractor works’ audits on safety, quality and efficiency to ensure c2c’s Asset Strategies are met
- Ensure quality paperwork is compiled by contractor throughout programme, review Entry into Service and Hand back documentation
- H AutoCAD would be advantageous
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards
- Good practical understanding and application of CDM Regulations 2015
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
- Decision making ability and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Professional Registration of an accredited body or working towards registration
- Time management and organisation skills
- BSc/BEng degree in Engineering preferred or relevant field or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Personal Track Safety competence and Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) advantageous
- Knowledge of Network Rail Standards beneficial particularly NR/L2/INI/02009, Forms A/B, NR/L2/CIV/003 (F001, F002, F003, F004, F005, F006)
- Experience of using Microsoft and Google Suite Software
- Knowledge of c2c and Network Rail operations and geography
