The Role
We are currently looking for experienced and reliable Skilled Operatives - Cable Pullers to join our growing team, working across Essex and Greater London. The successful candidates will have previous cable pulling experience and be confident working within an HV environment, following strict safety procedures and working as part of a professional site team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out cable pulling and installation activities safely and efficiently.
- Operating cable-pulling equipment, including winches, rollers and other mechanical aids.
- Setting up cable drums and associated equipment.
- Installing and using following ropes as required.
- Working under the direction of Site Managers and Team Leaders.
- Working effectively as part of a team to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
- Identifying and helping resolve issues that may arise during cable installation.
- Maintaining a strong focus on health, safety and environmental standards at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Previous cable pulling experience - essential.
- Experience working on electrical or infrastructure projects.
- Experience working safely within an HV environment.
- Good understanding of site health and safety requirements.
- Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends as required.
- Willingness to occasionally work away from home.
Desirable
- Cable jointing experience.
- Experience working on rail, utilities, electrical or major infrastructure projects.
- Relevant industry qualifications or training.
