C2 Recruitment is looking for talented, experienced chefs to join an exceptional independent restaurant in Mid Sussex – and this really isn't your average chef opportunity.
We're recruiting at different levels, with packages ranging from £45,000 to £65,000 depending on your experience and the position.
This is a beautiful, busy 150-cover venue with a serious reputation for fresh, seasonal modern British food. The kitchen operates to Rosette standards, everything is centred around quality produce, and you'll be joining a passionate team that genuinely cares about the food leaving the kitchen.
And you'll still get a life outside of work.

This Is Proper Cooking
No microwaves. No reheating someone else's menu. No soulless chain kitchen.
You'll be working with fresh, seasonal produce, creating and delivering food to a consistently high standard alongside chefs who take genuine pride in what they do.
Depending on your experience and level, you'll be involved in:
Preparing and delivering high-quality modern British dishes
Working with fresh, seasonal ingredients
Contributing ideas for menus, specials and events
Maintaining exceptional standards of presentation and consistency
Supporting and developing other members of the brigade
Weddings, functions and special events
Stock, ordering, GP and waste control at senior level
Helping create a positive, organised and enjoyable kitchen
Who Are We Looking For?
We're interested in speaking to experienced chefs at different stages of their career.
You might already be a Head Chef looking for somewhere you can have real creative influence.
You could be a strong Senior Sous Chef ready for more responsibility.
Or you may be an ambitious Sous Chef looking for the environment and leadership that will take you to the next level.
Whatever your title, you'll need a strong background in fresh-food restaurants, quality gastropubs, hotels or similar high-standard kitchens.
More importantly, you'll care about food, standards and the people you work alongside.
Own transport is essential due to the location.
