  • Description About Noara Therapeutics

Noara Therapeutics is an early-stage, stealth biotechnology company developing next-generation RNA-LNP-based cell therapies for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, cancer, and other chronic conditions.

Our platform integrates synthetic biology, RNA engineering, machine learning, and high-throughput experimentation to create durable, effective therapies with reduced immunotoxicity.

As a growing startup, we offer a collaborative, fast-paced environment where every team member has a direct impact on scientific strategy and company success.

We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to lead the development and execution of cell-based and immunology assays that will guide therapeutic discovery and development.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scientist or Scientist with deep expertise in cell biology, immunology, and assay development.

This is a laboratory-based role with significant opportunities to influence experimental strategy, establish new capabilities, and contribute to the scientific direction of our platform.

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across molecular biology, computational biology, automation, and data science to develop robust, scalable assays that support discovery and optimization of our therapeutic candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, optimize, and execute cell-based and immunology assays to evaluate candidate potency, cytotoxicity, and biological activity.
  • Perform and optimize reporter assays, flow cytometry, and fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) for cellular characterization and functional assessment.
  • Culture, engineer, and characterize human primary cells, with particular emphasis on immune cell populations.
  • Prepare, deliver, and evaluate RNA-LNP formulations in relevant cellular systems.
  • Develop scalable, plate-based assay workflows suitable for high-throughput experimentation, including assay miniaturization, troubleshooting, and SOP development.
  • Collaborate closely with molecular biology, computational biology, machine learning, and automation teams to generate high-quality datasets for downstream analysis and model development.
  • Contribute to the establishment of laboratory infrastructure, experimental standards, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior scientists and foster a collaborative, scientifically rigorous research environment.

Qualifications

  • Ph. D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline.
  • For Scientist candidates: 3+ years of relevant industry experience; biotechnology or startup experience is preferred.
  • For Senior Scientist candidates: 5+ years of relevant industry experience with demonstrated scientific leadership; biotechnology or startup experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing complex cell-based assays.
  • Extensive hands on experience with flow cytometry and FACS, including multicolor panel design and cell sorting.
  • Strong experience working with human primary cells, particularly primary immune cells.
  • Experience with RNA LNP delivery systems and/or engineered cell therapies (including CAR-based platforms or related technologies).
  • Proven ability to independently lead assay development from concept through implementation.
  • Excellent experimental troubleshooting, analytical, and scientific communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced startup environment where adaptability, initiative, and collaboration are essential.

Why Join Noara?

Joining Noara means becoming part of a highly collaborative scientific team working at the forefront of RNA therapeutics and cell engineering.

You will have the opportunity to build new skills, influence scientific strategy, and contribute directly to technologies with the potential to transform the treatment of human diseases.
