We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Installation Electrician to join our client’s dynamic Contracts Delivery Team, based in East Kilbride. You’ll be at the heart of delivering upgrade and installation projects, mainly for Scottish Water sites, across both clean and wastewater sectors. If you thrive on hands-on work, solving real-world problems, and working in a collaborative environment – this role’s for you.
Our client has over the past 40 years become a major force in the world of water pumps and associated equipment, providing a wide range of services to an extremely broad and varied client base across Scotland. They provide full back up repair and maintenance coverage for the products, equipment, and services they supply and install in a variety of industries such as Agricultural, Oil & Gas, Marine, Biogas, Brewing & Distilling, Water & Power Leisure, and Food Processing.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing electrical equipment and cabling to project specifications
- Glanding, terminating, and testing cables prior to energisation
- Working closely with electricians, mechanical fitters, and commissioning engineers
- Supporting both site installations and works at our East Kilbride fit-out facility
- Producing survey reports and communicating effectively with project engineers
What We’re Looking For
- Time-served electrician with solid industrial or water sector experience
- 18th Edition (BS7671) essential
- Knowledge of cable installation, schematics, and electrical drawings
- Great communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Flexibility, team spirit, and ability to manage time across multiple projects
- Full, clean UK driving licence
Bonus points for:
- HNC Electrical qualification
- 2391 Testing & Inspection
- Prior experience in the water industry
Salary is circa £42,000 plus Overtime, Van, test gear, PPE, plant and equipment, sick pay, 25 Days Holiday + 9 Statutory Days and Company pension scheme.
