We are recruiting for an experienced and customer focused Chalet Resort Manager to join a leading winter sports holiday operator in the French Alps. This is a seasonal contract opportunity of approximately 5.5 to 6 months, offering the chance to lead a resort operation, manage a team of seasonal staff across multiple chalet properties and deliver exceptional guest experiences throughout the winter season.
Chalet Resort Manager β Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day to day operation of multiple chalet properties, ensuring consistently high standards are maintained.
- Oversee, motivate and develop a team of approximately 12-14 seasonal staff, creating a positive and productive working environment.
- Act as the primary in resort point of contact for guests, ensuring excellent customer service and resolving any escalated issues efficiently.
- Deliver high levels of guest satisfaction, driving positive feedback and repeat business.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure standards of cleanliness, presentation, inventory and maintenance are maintained.
- Manage staff recruitment support, onboarding, training, performance management and ongoing development throughout the season.
- Build strong working relationships with local suppliers, property owners and operational partners.
- Coordinate resort logistics, including guest arrivals, departures and transfer day operations.
- Ensure all health safety procedures, legal requirements and company policies are followed.
- Monitor resort expenditure, control costs and manage weekly financial reporting and administration.
Chalet Resort Manager β Skills Experience Required:
- Previous ski season experience within chalet operations is essential.
- Experience managing all aspects of chalet operations and guest services.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to prioritise effectively and remain calm under pressure.
- Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and operational costs.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- French language skills would be advantageous but not essential.
Chalet Resort Manager β Additional Information:
- Seasonal contract position for approximately 5.5 to 6 months during the winter ski season (to start in November).
