Based in the Knutsford area, my client is a leading sheet metal manufacturing company who are market leaders in their field. They rarely recruit due to their excellent work environment, and they are seeking to hire a Quality Lead to be responsible for leading and maintaining all quality assurance and quality control activities within the manufacturing operation.
To be considered you need at least 3 years quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably within steel forming, machining, assembly and welding.
On offer is a salary of £45,000 - £53,000, 33 holidays, pension, life assurance and an early finish at either 12 noon or 1pm every Friday depending on which starting time you prefer. You can choose to work either of the hours below:
- Mon-Thurs, 7am-4pm and Fri, 7am 12 noon
- Mon-Thurs, 8am-5pm and Fri, 8am-1pm

Role:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality processes, procedures, and documentation.
- Monitor, analyse and report product and process data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee welding certification, equipment calibration, and non-conformance management.
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Maintain ISO 9001 certification and actively support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Plan and conduct internal and external audits / site visits to assist with resolving quality complaints.
- Collaborate with suppliers and sub-contractors to resolve incoming material and process quality issues.
