Based in the Dungannon area, my client is a market leading equipment manufacturer involved in the automotive sector. On offer is a salary of £45,000 - £60,000, flexible working hours, pension, healthcare, life assurance, and a lunchtime finish every Friday.
Role:- Lead critical design projects
- Mentor junior Design Engineers
- Innovative design solution generation for New Product Introductions, service fixes, and product improvements
- Design detailing, accurate BOM compilation, and drawing release
- Prototype build support and testing
- Ensure the product/system design meets all legislation, customer requirements, and system cost targets
- Coordinating with other parts of the engineering team as required
- Failure investigation and analysis, including introduction of containment and countermeasures
- Identification and implementation of cost reduction opportunities
Experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer with at least 5 years experience within a heavy engineering manufacturing environment such as quarry machinery is essential.
