CNC Programmer (Sheet Metal) Based south of Warrington, my client is a leading sheet metal manufacturing company who are market leaders in their field. They rarely recruit due to their excellent work environment, and they are seeking to hire a CNC Programmer to be responsible for producing efficient CNC programs, optimising material utilisation through effective nesting, improving manufacturing processes and supporting production to achieve the highest standards of quality, productivity and on-time delivery. To be considered you must have proven experience programming CNC laser cutting AND/OR punching machines within a sheet metal manufacturing environment (min of 3 years) and strong working knowledge of sheet metal software i.e. RADAN, SigmaNEST or JETCAM. On offer is a salary of £40,000 - £45,000, 33 holidays, pension, life assurance and an early finish at lunchtime every Friday. It is important to note that they do not work overtime, and you will leave for home promptly on a daily basis having worked your 38 hour week. Role CNC Programmer (Sheet Metal) Produce and optimise CNC programs for laser cutting and punching machines using sheet metal software. Create efficient nests to maximise material utilisation and minimise waste. Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files and customer specifications. Maintain and develop the part libraries, tooling libraries and manufacturing database to ensure programming consistency, accuracy and efficiency. Ensure all programs are production-ready and meet quality requirements. Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times, improve machine utilisation and enhance production processes.
