Design Engineer (R&D, Sheet Metal Fabrication) 4 day week Based in the Ballymena area my client is a leading sheet metal manufacturing company who are one of the market leaders in their field within the UK and Ireland.

Due to growth, they are seeking to recruit a Design Engineer who has at least 2 years mechanical design experience and who is hands on with the shop / production floor.

On offer is a salary of £35,000 - £45,000, a 4 day week (Mon -Thurs), pension, sick pay and adiscretionarybonus.

Role Design Engineer Prototyping and development activities for new and existing product lines Daily production support and is liaising with customers and suppliers to assist with both daily production and development activities.

Development of new and existing products from concept to market ready.

The position will involve working closely with engineers and the wider manufacturing team in a hands-on environment.

Support production by producing technical drawings, developing processes, ensuring designs meet industry standards and assist in the manufacture of prototypes.

Opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and experience of advanced CNC punching and press brake technology, contributing to the continuous improvement of their manufacturing capabilities.
