Finance Manager in Southampton

As part of our Management Team, you will play a key role in our success. We want to grow our business significantly over the next 5 years, so we see this role as a major part in our future success and stability. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Finance Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our Finance function and manage our day-to-day financial activities. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge and experience of Sage Line 50 with proven industry experience.

The Finance Manager will report directly to the Group Finance Manager and the Head of Operations and work closely with other departmental managers to help drive business efficiency and shape the company's strategic growth as an SME.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day financial activities and oversee integrity of all entries in Sage
• Reconcile multi-currency cash accounts and credit cards
• Liaise with employees to ensure all paperwork and expenses are received on time
• Ensure compliance and accuracy with all relevant financial organisations and deadlines
• Produce, check and submit VAT returns
• Produce P11d information for accountants
• Reconcile all control accounts and ensure accurate information for year-end preparation
• Produce KPI's at month end and supporting information
• Liaise with Head of Operations regarding cash flow budgets and monthly turnover

Staff Support:

• Supervise 2 part-time accounts team members, ensuring high performance and professional development
• Allocate tasks effectively and ensure that workflows are efficient and aligned with business objectives
• Foster a positive and productive office environment by maintaining clear communication and motivation among staff

Key Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a finance role, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity
• Skills: In-depth knowledge of Sage Line 50
• Demonstrate strong financial understanding and accuracy
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
• Ability to prioritise and self-manage workloads
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
