CTS Europe Ltd, specialists in the design, construction and commissioning of Laboratory Containment Systems for handling pharmaceutical drug compounds, are looking for a Mechanical or Electrical Design Engineer to join our Engineering Design Team. We are proud to base our operations, including manufacturing, in Portsmouth and successfully export our products to Pharmaceutical Research companies worldwide.

Your skills:
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills
- Recognised design engineering degree (BSc or BEng) or Engineering Apprenticeship with experience of fabrication and/or CAD
- Experience with Solidworks or similar 3D CAD package
- Keen interest in new design and product prototyping
- Experience of validating designs and concepts
- Experience of working with fabrication suppliers
- Knowledge and understanding of quality systems and procedures within production areas
Reporting to the Design Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Generating approval drawings
- Generating fabrication files
- Assisting in custom builds
- Updating stock component models and drawings
- Proof checking designs for fabrication
- Assisting with new product design and prototyping
Supporting the Engineering Team to:
- Ensure in-house assembly and build of systems go smoothly
- Follow products through to completion with QC and Technical files
- Coordinate with fabrication suppliers on aspects of the fabrication design
- Increase productivity
- Assist Custom Build Projects
- Liaise with Sales/Customer Support/Engineering and Customers on custom projects
- Manage Specifications, Costs and Timelines on Custom Build projects
- Assist in creation of BOMs and sourcing of components and services
