We are seeking a skilled Electrical/Electronic Design Engineer to join our engineering design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating PIDs (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams), producing detailed circuit layouts, ensuring electrical compliance with industry standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the engineering design team to create PIDs to document design intent and instructions for manufacturing and assembly.
- Design and produce detailed circuit layouts, adhering to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant electrical and safety standards, including European standards such as IEC 61010, IEC 60950, and EN 55032 18th Edition BS 7671.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in designs; provide effective solutions for improvements.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and user manuals.
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to enhance team collaboration and project outcomes.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to improve design processes.
Qualifications and experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering or industry training in electronics design and development.
- Proficiency in CAD software for circuit and wiring layouts.
- Strong understanding of electronic components and systems, including analog and digital circuits.
- Experience with industry standards and regulations (preferred).
- Experience working with laboratory equipment or containment systems (preferred).
- Knowledge of PLC programming such as Siemens (preferred).
- Experience with embedded systems and programming languages (e.g., C, C++) (preferred).
