Role Description
The Domiciliary Care Supervisor is a role based in Alfreton.
The supervisor oversees the day‑to‑day delivery of home care services, including scheduling visits, coordinating care plans, and ensuring that care workers follow agreed procedures and standards.
This role involves visiting service users in their homes to complete assessments, conduct spot checks, and monitor the quality of care provided.
The supervisor supports, mentors, and trains care staff, handles escalations and concerns from service users and families, and maintains accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
The role also includes liaising with social services, health professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure continuity of care, as well as contributing to service improvements and compliance with company policies.
The role also involves dealing with out of hour problems when the office is shut two times a week and every other weekend.
Qualifications
- Experience in domiciliary or community care supervision, with strong care coordination and team leadership skills.
- Knowledge of person‑centered care, safeguarding, and relevant health and social care regulations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict‑resolution skills for working with service users, families, and staff.
- Ability to plan rotas, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate care records and documentation.
- Competence with basic IT systems for scheduling, reporting, and care management.
- Relevant health and social care qualification (e. g., NVQ/QCF Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or senior care role within domiciliary or residential care settings is highly beneficial.
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle for local travel to service users’ homes is advantageous.
