To support the maintenance and upkeep of the company's facilities, buildings, and equipment while working towards a relevant apprenticeship qualification.
The apprentice will develop practical skills in building maintenance, repairs, health and safety, and facilities management, helping to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment for employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- / Tasks
- Maintenance & Repairs
- Assist with carrying out general building maintenance and repair tasks.
- Support minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, decorating, and basic maintenance activities.
- Help maintain office, warehouse, and external site areas to a high standard.
- Assemble furniture, shelving, and workplace equipment as required.
- Carry out routine checks on fixtures, fittings, and equipment.
- Facilities Support
- Assist with setting up meeting rooms, offices, and workspaces.
- Support office moves and workplace adaptations.
- Help maintain clean, safe, and organised facilities.
- Assist with grounds maintenance, including keeping outdoor areas tidy and presentable.
- Health & Safety
- Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Identify and report hazards, defects, and maintenance issues.
- Support fire safety and workplace compliance checks.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- Assist in monitoring stock levels of maintenance materials and supplies.
- Help organise maintenance stores and work areas.

- Record completed maintenance activities and inspections.
- Update maintenance logs and checklists.
- Work with managers and contractors to ensure maintenance requests are completed efficiently.

- Full UK driving licence (or working towards one).
- The successful applicant will work towards the
- Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship Level 2 Standard
, the duration of which is up to 27 months including the end point assessment (EPA).
- Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, opportunities may be available within the wider business.
