C Recruit is partnering with a leading client to identify an ambitious, intellectually curious communications professional to join its growing London team.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of strategic communications, public affairs, political analysis and reputation management, advising clients on complex issues that require careful judgement, rigorous research and a nuanced understanding of the wider operating environment.
Working with senior colleagues, you will help organisations navigate sensitive situations, protect their reputations and shape their engagement with influential stakeholders across international markets.
The opportunity
You will take an active role in managing client relationships and delivering advisory projects, translating complex information into clear, commercially relevant recommendations. The work is varied and often fast-moving, requiring someone who can connect political, media, legal and stakeholder perspectives to develop effective strategies.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day delivery of client engagements, ensuring work is insightful, well-coordinated and delivered to a high standard.
- Conducting in-depth research, intelligence gathering and analysis to identify emerging issues, assess risks and inform client decision-making.
- Developing strategic recommendations across reputation, issues management, dispute-related communications and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitoring political developments, media narratives and public opinion to identify opportunities, anticipate challenges and shape advisory strategies.
- Building and coordinating engagement with relevant stakeholders, including influential individuals, advisers, policymakers and media contacts.
- Supporting the development and delivery of communications programmes designed to strengthen positioning and influence.
- Managing and mentoring junior team members, helping to develop their analytical capabilities and professional confidence.
- Working closely with senior leadership on client development, new business opportunities and the growth of international relationships.
About you
We are interested in professionals who combine strong analytical thinking with excellent communication skills and the confidence to operate in a demanding advisory environment.
You may have developed your experience within strategic communications, public affairs, government advisory, political risk, legal or disputes-related communications, diplomacy, or a research-led consultancy.
You will ideally bring:
- Experience managing client accounts or projects within a consultancy, agency or advisory environment.
- A strong understanding of the relationship between political, regulatory, media and reputational considerations.
- The ability to interpret complex information and turn it into clear, practical strategic advice.
- Excellent research, writing and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working on sensitive, high-profile or internationally focused issues.
- The confidence to manage client relationships, collaborate with senior stakeholders and support the development of junior colleagues.
- Strong cultural awareness, sound judgement and the ability to adapt to different client environments.
The right fit
Beyond experience, this opportunity will suit someone who is curious, commercially minded and comfortable working through ambiguity. You will enjoy being part of a close-knit, ambitious team where intellectual rigour, discretion, collaboration and high standards matter.
For the right individual, this is an opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility, work on complex international assignments and contribute to the continued growth of a specialist advisory business. This role will include travel opportunities.
