Role Description

The Builder role is a full-time, on-site position based around stafford. The Builder will carry out day-to-day construction activities, including groundworks, structural work, basic joinery, and general building tasks on residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural projects. Responsibilities include interpreting plans and drawings, preparing and maintaining work areas, assisting with drainage and roofing work, and supporting refurbishments and extensions. The role also involves using appropriate tools and equipment safely, working collaboratively with multi-trade teams, and maintaining high standards of workmanship. The Builder will be expected to follow health and safety procedures, communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors, and contribute to timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess practical building skills, including experience with groundworks, structural alterations, and general construction tasks.
• Candidates should possess basic joinery and roofing skills, with the ability to support refurbishments and property extensions.
• Candidates should possess skills in reading and interpreting construction drawings, measuring materials, and following site instructions accurately.
• Candidates should possess strong awareness of health and safety practices, including safe use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
• Candidates should possess effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multi-trade colleagues and supervisors.
• Relevant construction qualifications or trade certifications, such as NVQ or equivalent, and a valid CSCS card would be beneficial.
• Experience working on residential, commercial, industrial, or agricultural building projects, and a full driving license, would be an advantage.
