IT Support Engineer (Active SC Clearance)

Role: IT Support Engineer

Location: Central London (On-Site Preferred, Remote Optional)

Pay Rate: £200 – £260 per day

Start: ASAP / Urgent – Immediate Start

CPS Group UK are delighted to be working with a leading organisation to appoint an actively SC Cleared IT Support Engineer for an initial 2-month contract. The SC Cleared IT Support Engineer will provide both User/Helpdesk support to the business users, whilst also getting involved in ad-hoc IT-centric projects.

The IT Support Engineer must have working proficiency in both JIRA and Confluence.

Candidates with active SC Clearance and the capacity to work on-site in London will be prioritised.

Role Requirements

  1. Provide 1st & 2nd Line on-site technical IT infrastructure support
  2. Support hardware issues and fixes (e.g. desktop, laptop printers, mobile)
  3. Utilise JIRA and Confluence tools to manage IT project delivery and workflows
  4. Communicate effectively with the customer and manage technical queries in line with company standards and SLA’s
  5. Prioritise and resolve technical queries and service requests
  6. Support the IT Manager with other (non-technical) site duties as requested
  7. Work closely with users (floor-walking) and support stakeholders of all levels with IT-centric issues

Required Skills & Experience

  1. Previous experience working in an on-site IT Support role
  2. Possesses ACTIVE UK SECURITY CLEARANCE (SC)
  3. Demonstrable experience using both JIRA and Confluence
  4. Experience supporting critical IT projects
  5. Demonstrable IT related problem-solving capabilities
  6. Highly professional and flexible attitude
  7. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  8. Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  9. Strong working knowledge of Windows 11 (and associated support requirements)
  10. Strong working knowledge of technologies including:
  • Active Directory
  • Exchange
  • Office 365
  • iOS / Android / Mobile
  • SCCM / WSUS
  • Basic networking
  • Comms room support
