We are working with a well regarded Main Contractor who are looking for experienced Project Manager/Senior Site Manager for a large heritage renovation in Edinburgh. This is a large and complex undertaking involving the refurbishment and repurposing of a historically significant building. The project will run for multiple years offering long term stability and the chance to deliver a genuinely landmark scheme.

The Role
You will take full responsibility for the management and delivery of this significant heritage project from pre-construction through to completion and handover. This is a client facing role requiring strong leadership, planning and coordination skills.
Key responsibilities
- Managing the project programme and key milestones
- Leading site teams, subcontractors and consultants
- Acting as the main point of contact for the client and design team
- Overseeing quality assurance particularly in relation to heritage elements
- Ensuring health and safety compliance across all stages of the project
- Managing risk, change control and coordination with the commercial team
- Driving the project to a successful completion in line with programme and budget
About You
- Proven experience delivering large fit out/renovation projects
- Background working for a main contractor on complex builds
- Strong understanding of refurbishment and heritage construction challenges
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confident managing long term programmes and multidisciplinary teams
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid
