The Role
You will drive the estimating process while building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Tender Management: Coordinate tenders from Bills of Quantities to final settlement and submission.
- Risk & Value: Identify project risks, analyse proposals, and deliver value engineering options.
- Supply Chain: Maintain our subcontractor database and select material supplier enquiry lists.
- Collaboration: Partner with Senior QS’s on take‑offs and hand over data to construction teams.
- Client Engagement: Review technical specs, manage post‑tender queries, and support feasibility studies.
- What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Main contractor background with strong Design & Build and package negotiation skills.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read design drawings and use estimating software such as EValuate and MS Office.
- Traits: Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to deliver high‑quality proposals under tight deadlines.
- Licence: Full UK/EU driving licence is required.
- Preferred (But Not Essential)
- Degree: BSc in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related subject.
- Software: Experience using the COINS ERP system.
- Tenure: Five or more years of post-graduation estimating experience.
