We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic building surveyor to join our client, a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy based in the centre of Glasgow. In this position, you'll be responsible for a range of professional building surveying services, and managing projects across a number of sectors. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with the responsibilities listed below.

You will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out building surveys, preparing schedules of condition, undertaking defect analysis, and producing maintenance plans.
  • Ensuring projects meet all legal and statutory requirements.
  • Preparing detailed and coherent reports.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients as well as building on existing relationships.
  • Coordinating an internal multi-disciplinary team.

Skills and attributes:

  • Ideally, you will be chartered through a relevant professional body, MRICS preferred.
  • You will have strong demonstrable knowledge of UK building regulations and planning laws.
  • Your organisational skills will be well developed, and you will be able to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • You will be IT literate and comfortable using relevant software.
  • In an ideal world, you will be able to identify opportunities for business development and capitalise on them; entrepreneurial attitudes are encouraged.
