Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager - Pre-Construction to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality projects from inception through to site commencement.

The Role

Working closely with the commercial, design and operational teams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are fully planned, coordinated and ready for successful delivery. You will support project development from the pre‑construction phase through to mobilisation, ensuring all health, safety, quality and programme requirements are in place.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the Project Quantity Surveyor to support financial reporting and project forecasting.
  • Developing and managing project programmes and construction methodologies.
  • Ensuring all health & safety requirements, Construction Phase Plans and CDM obligations are in place prior to works commencing.
  • Producing Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Safety Plans.
  • Providing leadership, guidance and support to project teams.
  • Managing labour resources and maintaining productivity targets.
  • Coordinating the release of design information and materials.
  • Managing subcontractors and supply chain partners effectively.
  • Ensuring compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
  • Driving quality throughout the project lifecycle and achieving snag‑free handovers.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Degree qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or a strong trade background within construction.
  • Proven leadership and management experience within the construction or housebuilding sector.
  • Experience managing projects from inception through to completion.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety legislation, CDM regulations and best practice.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and deliver projects to programme, budget and quality standards.
