C&P Recruitment has partnered with an award-winning house builder with multiple offices throughout the UK. Due to their consistent workload they are looking for an experienced Engineer to join their team.
The ideal candidate will come from a housebuilding background and be able to join the existing team seamlessly.
Job summary
Provide engineering support at all stages of the development process, gaining technical consents and provide advice to contractors and other departments throughout the construction process. Ensure designs by consultants or yourself are cost effective, compliant and practical. Liaise with NHBC during pre-construction and throughout the project to ensure all standards are met and concluded as satisfactory
Primary Responsibilities:
·Competently implement CDM/EMS in line with company policy and ensure they are followed and recorded
·Assign the designers responsibilities under CDM regulations
·Continue to develop designs and provide full engineering support throughout the planning and building process
·Continue to develop site designs and provide full engineering support throughout the planning and building regulation process
·Liaise with external consultants and statutory bodies
·Work with the project team to add value and secure the best planning consent and engineering solution for the company
What we are looking for:
·Engineering related qualification or degree
·Min 2 + year experience as an Engineer within the housebuilding industry
·Proficiency in AutoCAD, PDS, Windes and Microdrainage
·Ability to undertake civil engineering design in-house and to manage external designs
·Ability to make suitable recommendations in regards to environmental reports and regulatory requirements
·Thorough knowledge of assessment of ground conditions for foundation and sub- structure design
·Ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines and still uphold company values
