Travel Consultant now required by a highly specialist travel company who are passionate about taking their clients to lesser-travelled, exciting destinations across the globe. For an individual with prior experience selling travel, who shares this company’s enthusiasm for unique travel experiences, they will be very happy to train you to become one of their experts.
Responsibilities of a Travel Consultant:
- Provide expert guidance, specialist insight, and practical recommendations to both travel trade business partners and direct clients.
- Design bespoke travel experiences tailored to the specific preferences and requirements of each customer.
- Identify opportunities for enhancement of travel itineraries, adding meaningful extras, achieving optimal value to the client and healthy profit to the team.
- Take pride in endeavouring to provide an unparalleled level of service.
- When needed take ownership of issue resolution, ensuring client concerns are treated empathetically.
Experience and Skills required for this Travel Consultant position:
- Prior experience working in a travel sales environment, whether that be as a Travel Consultant in retail travel, tour operations or similar.
- Desire to perform well within a passionate sales team.
- Love of travel (essential), backed up by personal experience in off-the-beaten-track places would be a big plus (non-essential).
- Strong focus on attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience using travel booking systems desirable.
Additional Information:
- Hybrid Office Working (flexible pattern depending on your requirements).
- Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm (Saturday work for the first 6 weeks of the year).
- 25 days annual leave per year plus familiarisation travel.
