Summary:

Manages major food service commercial customer (UK & Belgium), through internal collaboration with Supply Chain, Operations, Research & Development (R&D), Procurement, Finance, and Quality Assurance (QA) teams. The primary focus will be to drive assured supply, Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA), new product innovation, and exemplary customer management and support while managing P&L.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our customer at all levels to understand their needs and ensure exemplary customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure delivery and tracking of businesses relevant short and long-term business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Procurement R&D, and QA to ensure seamless delivery of assured supply, FSQA, financial, projects and performance goals.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of customer pricing mechanisms and key cost drivers to support customer pricing negotiations.
  • In depth business knowledge to enable internal leadership of customer driven projects ensuring provision of accurate data to finance for calculation and tracking of results.
  • Drive initiatives to ensure assured supply, adherence to FSQA standards, cost savings, and Plan to Win goals.
  • Uncover new product opportunities to drive incremental sales by working closely with customers’ and internal teams to develop and launch new products that meet customer needs.
  • Provide exemplary customer management and support through building and maintaining both customer and internal relationships, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports on account performance, internal and external customer presentations, ad hoc customer requests for information
  • Work with Supply Chain to ensure an accurate forecast and capacity models are maintained, ensuring robust contingencies are in place during key periods of the trading calendar.
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in account management, preferably with large commercial foodservice accounts
  • Commercial baking knowledge
  • Strong understanding of supply chain, FSQA, and product development processes
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
