Job Description

We are looking to fill an exciting position for a mid-level Business Analyst. Primarily working within a small but fast paced team, focused on the industry leading application; CODAS.

CODAS is an ERP system designed to assist with the day-to-day running of a liquid fuels distribution business. More information can be found on www.codas.com.

The role will suit candidates who have experience working in change and delivery within ERP systems and those who put focus on customers’ needs with desire to be a part of shaping and progressing an industry leading product.

As a Business Analyst at CDS, you must be willing to work in a changing and sometimes challenging environment, whilst maintaining a professional and proactive approach when communicating with stakeholders.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Ownership of customer Change Requests

· Gather and analyse requirements

· Produce functional specifications for the development team

· Gap analysis and business case

· Solution design

· Becoming a Subject Matter Expert in our products

· Project management

· Functionality implementations and demonstrations

· Working closely with stakeholders of all levels including internal developers and external customers/suppliers

The successful candidate will also be expected to show flexibility and eagerness to assist across the other teams in the business as required for both learning and business needs.

Although most customer interaction has moved to virtual sessions this role will require occasional travel to client sites including the possibility of trips abroad (within Europe) which could last several days at a time.

You’ll be diving into business challenges—scoping out new projects, mapping processes, identifying gaps, and shaping requirements into clear, actionable user stories. You’ll play a key role in influencing how our systems evolve, ensuring they meet real-world needs.

You’ll be liaising with our customers regularly, making sure their voices are heard and their experiences shape the solutions we deliver. Collaboration is key and you’ll be working side by side with a range of teams, from developers to operations, all pulling together to build something that makes a difference.

Person Requirements

Required:

· 3+ years previous experience in a Business Analysis role or similar

· Strong understanding of ERP systems

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Strong sense of ownership and ability to follow tasks through to completion

· Analytical mindset in approach to solving problems

· Present solutions in a clear way to multiple levels of stakeholder

· Ability to build and manage client relationships

Desirable:

· Business Analyst qualifications

· Knowledge of CODAS and/or liquid fuels downstream distribution industry

· Previous experience of working within a software house

· Previous experience within an Agile environment
