Building & Refurbishment company based in Rainham Essex requires an estimator. The candidate will need to have experience in pricing domestic property extensions from architectural drawings and full strip out and refurbishment works for a variety of commercial and healthcare clients to whom we act as principal contractor.
Establish and maintain relationships with clients, subâcontractors and suppliers. The successful candidate would be required to travel to site to gather relevant information to enable the tendering of the project. Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database. Produce takeâoffs, schedules of work and send out tender documents for subâcontractors. Review, analyse and return tender packages to clients. Project values range from ÂŁ10,000.00 to ÂŁ500,000.00.
Requirements for an Estimator
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as you will be meeting, liaising and negotiating with clients, subâcontractors and suppliers to aid with the pricing of tenders.
- Good technical knowledge and understanding of the construction industry processes, materials and costs.
- Must be highly organised with good attention to detail, conscientious, punctual.
- Smart attire (but full suit not necessary).
- Clean driving licence.
- Must be able to pass DBS check.
- Excellent Computer skills with Excel and Microsoft Office.
Salary
Salary starting from ÂŁ40,000.00 as an Estimator.
Hours
8.00am â 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
