Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and forward‑thinking Finance Lead – Record to Report (R2R) to oversee CABI’s end‑to‑end financial reporting and global control environment. In this role, you will be responsible for all finance‑related R2R activities across our global footprint, ensuring accurate and timely month‑end closure, strong balance sheet integrity, compliant financial controls, and high‑quality statutory reporting supported by robust external audit processes. A core priority is to strengthen CABI’s financial governance by embedding a unified global R2R framework—standardising processes, automating workflows, and driving improvements in efficiency, reporting accuracy, and timeliness across all CABI company ledgers. You will also be responsible for leading a geographically dispersed global team of accountants and finance assistants, ensuring consistent delivery, strong capability, and alignment across regions. The role reports to the Finance Director and involves close collaboration with Finance Business Partners, programme teams, regional offices, and external auditors. You will ensure seamless information flow, disciplined accounting practices, and high‑quality financial stewardship throughout the R2R cycle.
