Microsoft 365 Projects Engineer in Bath

Salary: £35,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements

• We need hands‑on experience delivering Microsoft 365 project work, including real migrations, rollouts and tenant changes.
• We need experience configuring and deploying Intune, including device management, compliance, configuration profiles, app deployment or enrolment.
• We need experience with Entra ID, including MFA and Conditional Access.
• We need experience with SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams or Exchange Online migrations.
• We need strong documentation habits and an understanding of testing, change control and rollback in client environments.
• We need clear written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to own assigned work through to completion.
• Desirable: MSP background or client‑facing project delivery experience.
• Desirable: experience with Autopilot, Defender for Business/Endpoint, or legacy server decommission work.
• Desirable: PowerShell for Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Entra ID, SharePoint or Intune administration.
• Desirable: Azure administration knowledge.
• Desirable: Microsoft certifications such as MS‑102, SC‑300, MD‑102 or AZ‑104.
• Desirable: a full UK driving licence.
• You must be able to reliably commute to Bath three days per week or plan to relocate before starting.
• You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

• We deliver assigned Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace projects from scope through to completion.
• We implement, test, document and hand over project work into the support team.
• We deliver Intune deployments, including device enrolment, Autopilot, compliance policies, configuration profiles, app deployment and security baselines.
• We deliver Entra ID and identity security work, including MFA, Conditional Access, SSPR and access hardening.
• We carry out SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams and Exchange Online migrations and configuration.
• We roll out Defender for Business and Defender for Endpoint, including Attack Surface Reduction rules.
• We help move clients off legacy file servers and traditional infrastructure into Microsoft 365.
• We communicate directly with clients during delivery, testing, migration and handover.
• We complete occasional out‑of‑hours cutovers that are planned in advance.
• We follow internal standards, templates and checklists while working with senior technical support.
• We contribute to shaping rollout standards, delivery approaches and more senior Modern Workplace design work as we grow.

We are a Microsoft‑first MSP based in Bath, with around 18 people, roughly 50 SME clients and 2,000 managed endpoints across the South West and beyond. We hold four Microsoft Solutions Partner designations and have been growing steadily since 2019. This is a newly created growth role focused on Microsoft 365 project delivery, not a replacement hire. The position is full‑time and permanent, offers a salary of £35,000 to £45,000, and is hybrid with three days per week in our Bath office.
