We are currently looking for a MRF Engineer Assistant to join our busy and forward-thinking team in the vibrant Greater London area. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a crucial role within the engineering sector, supporting our mission to promote environmentally friendly waste management solutions.

Hours of Work: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Support the engineering team with daily operations at our Materials Recycling Facility.
- Assist with faults and repairs, tracking machinery, and maintaining equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
- Help with changing belts and motors, operating key machinery like the baler, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Assist the lead shift engineer.
- Demonstrate the ability to identify and report faults to the senior engineer/Engineering manager/lead Shift engineer.
- Ability to carry out basic fault finding and repairs.
- Be able to track belts efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in changing/repairing belts and drums/motors.
- Operation of the baler and basic fault-finding abilities.
- Operation and maintenance of the RRU.
- Maintain and clean the MRF machinery.
- Carry out PPM to the Machinery at the correct intervals as instructed.
- Drive plant machinery (when trained).
- Clean the Bag houses at the correct intervals.
Essential Functions, Skills And Attributes
- Strong inter-personal skills.
- Flexible.
- Experience working on MRF (preferable).
- Basic Fabrications (desirable).
- Single or 3 phase electrical qualifications or experience is desirable.
- Hydraulic experience is essential.
- MEWPS certification is desirable.
- Forklift license is desirable.
