Compactor Maintenance Engineer in London

Hours of Work: Full time

Compactor Maintenance Engineer Duties

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on compactors and related equipment to ensure maximum operational efficiency.

Adhere to maintenance schedules and housekeeping programmes as directed by the MRF Engineering Manager.

Uphold strict health and safety standards in all tasks, maintaining equipment to meet these requirements.

Communicate effectively with team members and colleagues, constantly seeking best practices and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Participate in a small team operation from Monday to Friday, day shifts from 07:00 to 16:00, with occasional out-of-hours work on a rotational basis to meet operational demands.

This role may involve working in a busy and pressurised environment, particularly with strict deadlines.

Availability for emergency call-outs from home for plant breakdowns and flexibility with shifts, especially during planned works that may extend over weekends.

Essential Skills/Attributes

Deep understanding of current health and safety legislation.

Proficiency in applying health and safety practices effectively.

Experience in welding and fabrication.

Qualification or significant experience in three-phase electrical systems is advantageous.

Essential experience with hydraulics.

High degree of confidentiality must always be maintained.
