POSITION DETAILS:

  • Reports to: Principal Procurement Consultant
  • Team: Services Division
  • Location: Bytes Leatherhead/Remote Hybrid Working
  • Occasional attendance to customer offices – usually within UK.
  • Occasional attendance to company promotional events.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

Bytes helps customers achieve their business objectives by delivering a broad range of technology-focused support, professional and managed services. We aim to increase consumption, adoption and customer satisfaction, making a measurable contribution to customer success and growth. The Advisory Analyst will initially support Procurement Advisory Consultants in delivering commercial and procurement advisory, management and transaction services for software assets. This includes helping to define and apply a professional, structured and repeatable process to identify optimal commercial routes for renewals and new purchases, aligned to existing and planned customer strategies. These services will be delivered through a managed service framework to a portfolio ranging from mid-sized UK businesses to global enterprises. The Advisory Analyst may also support the wider Software Services Team with additional software-focused analyst activities beyond core procurement work. The role’s primary purpose is to enable Consultants to deliver customer value by reducing operational overheads and optimising spend through the collection, preparation, analysis and reporting of relevant data. Analysts will work across a range of customer accounts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively support the activities of the Procurement Advisory Consultants by collecting/collating accurate, complete and timely data, analysing data to achieve the outcome defined by the Procurement Advisory Consultants, contributing to the production of customer-facing reports and deliverables, deliver against customer statement of work’s.
  • Support the creation of Service Review contributions demonstrating volume of activity and evidence of value delivered.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the procurement and SAM functions within the Customer business.
  • Ensure timely delivery of a quality service as defined in the contract between Bytes and the customer meeting and exceeding SLAs.
  • Build and continually develop knowledge of software contracts and vendors.
  • Contribute to the delivery of related programs of change from an Asset Management perspective.
  • Identify opportunities for Bytes where Bytes may propose new/additional related Services or where existing services could be improved or evolved to meet new needs.
  • Escalate potential service issues within the team and to Bytes management.

INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You will at all times maintain open communications with the Procurement Advisory Consultants and your Services team colleagues throughout an engagement.
  • You will be both accountable and responsible for the effective, accurate and timely support of the Procurement Advisory Consultants.

WIDER TEAM NETWORK:

  • Internal: Bytes Services Division including PMO, Bytes Account Management team.
  • External: Customer Resources (EXCO Sponsor, Owner, PMO Team, Delivery Team etc.), Delivery Partners/Sub-Contractors.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Educational Qualifications: Minimum GCSEs (A-C) English & Mathematics - ESSENTIAL
  • Professional Qualifications: CIPS Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate (Standard or Advanced), ITAM/SAM Certification/Accreditation i.e., CSAM, ILIL Foundation, Project Management Accreditation i.e., PRINCE2 - DESIRABLE
  • Years of Experience: Greater than one (1) year of demonstrable experience of being part of a team delivering Software Procurement/Contract Management services. Exposure to key vendor licensing schemes and contract offerings/structures. Exposure to licensing scenarios associated to server infrastructures, including Virtualisation, Public Cloud and Thin Client - DESIRABLE
  • Other Requirements: Legally able to work in the country in which the position is based - ESSENTIAL
