The Microsoft Incentives Analyst is an analytical role that works as part of the Incentives team, with the purpose of calculating and reconciling Incentives earned, across various Microsoft Incentive Programs. This role is critical to the business, ensuring incentives are reconciled and paid accurately and on time, to the various business areas every month.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand the Microsoft Incentive Programs and various program rules that apply.
- Calculate and publish incentive estimates across multiple incentive programs to the various sales departments and management teams.
- Track and log new Enterprise Program orders which fall outside of the Microsoft Operations Team process.
- Reconcile incentive statements from Microsoft to the calculated Estimates.
- Log and action credits and changes to invoices that impact incentives paid.
- Log tickets with Microsoft to query any discrepancies on incentive statements.
- Respond to incentive queries from Account Management teams.
- Raise rebate orders on the internal systems as necessary.
- Assist in other data manipulation, automation, consolidation, and other analysis tasks.
Role Focus & Key Behaviours:
- Provide support to the business, through analytical work, to ensure incentives are allocated on time to relevant individuals and departments.
- Publish and email Incentive estimates and statements.
- Provide support from the shared Rebates team mailbox, where required - assisting with explaining how incentives are calculated if sales teams have any queries.
- Review and reconcile data downloaded from various sources such as: Volume Licensing Center, Microsoft Partner Center, Microsoft Fasttrack Portal.
- Adapt to changes within incentive programs, helping the business remain agile by redesigning and implementing new processes to analysis tasks, when incentives program rules change.
Mandatory Tasks:
- Own various Incentive tasks each month, responsibilities are set by the Incentives Team Lead (after the relevant training has been provided).
WIDER TEAM NETWORK:
Internal: Account Management teams, Accounts Department, Microsoft Operations Team, CSP Billing Team, Development team (for building automation), Management Team.
External: Microsoft Channel Incentives and Licensing teams (where training is required).
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Educational Qualifications:
- GCSEs English and Maths – Grade C or above.
- A Levels or equivalent.
- Degree or Further Education.
ESSENTIAL:
- Minimum 2 years working with Microsoft Excel within a daily role.
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Knowledge of Microsoft licensing programs.
- Knowledge of Power Platforms such as Power Bi and Power Automate.
CORE Competencies & SKILLS:
- Competent Analytical skills - accuracy and attention to detail essential.
- Strong Excel knowledge is essential – to an intermediate / advanced level.
- Good mathematical ability.
- Strong communication skills.
- Organised individual with excellent time management.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Proactive and able to work independently.
- Comfortable liaising with various departments – sales, accounts, operations and management.
