The opportunity: We’re looking for a commercially minded Campaign & Performance Marketing Lead to turn marketing priorities into campaigns that generate qualified leads and create sales opportunities. You’ll lead campaign and channel marketing delivery, build productive vendor relationships and use performance insight to improve results.
Your role:
- Forge a high-performance field marketing team focused on diversified, engaging, vendor-supported campaigns that reach the right audiences, generate qualified demand and demonstrate a measurable return on investment.
- Working with Digital, Content, Product Marketing, Vendor Alliances and Sales, you’ll bring together compelling propositions, effective channels and clear follow-up to help turn customer interest into pipeline.
Key responsibilities:
- Team leadership: manage and coach Campaign Field Managers and Channel Marketing, setting clear priorities, balancing workloads and supporting high-quality delivery.
- Campaign planning: own an integrated campaign calendar aligned to business priorities, customer needs and vendor opportunities, with clear briefs, budgets and measures of success.
- Demand generation: develop connected campaigns across email, paid media, content, digital and in-person events and nurture that attract relevant audiences and generate qualified leads.
- Performance optimisation: work with Digital Marketing and agencies to test audiences, messaging, offers and customer journeys. Use acquisition costs, lead quality and conversion insight to improve results and allocation of spend.
- Sales alignment: agree lead qualification and handover with Sales and business development teams. Ensure campaign responses are captured accurately, followed up promptly and nurtured where further engagement is needed.
- Vendor partnerships: work with Vendor Alliances and vendor marketing teams to develop joint campaign plans, secure marketing investment and deliver agreed activity, proof of execution and results reporting.
- Commercial insight: provide clear reporting on campaign spend, lead progression, opportunities and pipeline contribution, distinguishing marketing-sourced from marketing-influenced results and recommending improvements.
- Budget and resource management: manage agreed budgets, agency support and campaign tools effectively, using repeatable processes and developing team capability to improve delivery.
How you’ll work: Own campaign planning, team delivery, agreed campaign budgets, vendor marketing programmes and performance reporting, with priorities set in partnership with the CMO. Collaborate with Digital, Content and Product Marketing on channel execution, assets and propositions; with Vendor Alliances on partner plans; and with Sales on qualification and opportunity progression. Maintain a realistic delivery plan, make resource needs visible and balance new requests against existing commitments, protecting time for testing, optimisation and vendor development.
What success looks like: Success will be measured by the quality of demand generated, the strength of vendor partnerships and the commercial impact of campaigns.
Success area expected outcome:
- Qualified demand: A consistent flow of relevant, qualified leads, with improving sales acceptance and progression into opportunities.
- Campaign effectiveness: Improving conversion and cost efficiency through testing, optimisation and informed allocation of marketing spend.
- Pipeline contribution: A clear, credible connection between campaign activity and sales pipeline, supported by accurate reporting and agreed attribution.
- Vendor investment and partnerships: Productive vendor relationships that secure marketing investment, support joint priorities and demonstrate value from funded activity.
- Delivery and budget management: Well-planned campaigns delivered to agreed priorities, timelines and budgets, with effective use of people, agencies and tools.
- Team and operational capability: Clear ownership, effective collaboration and confident use of campaign systems, supporting reliable execution and continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring: Experience managing and developing people, coordinating multiple campaigns and setting realistic priorities across competing demands. A track record of delivering integrated B2B campaigns that generate qualified leads and contribute to pipeline; experience in technology or a vendor-led environment is particularly relevant. Strong understanding of performance marketing, including paid acquisition, conversion, testing and campaign economics, with the confidence to challenge results and brief channel specialists. The ability to build productive vendor and stakeholder relationships, develop joint marketing proposals and work closely with Sales and external agencies.
