The AWS Sales Specialist role is a strategic Sales overlay position within the Bytes Cloud Sales division. Acting as a dedicated subject matter expert, the specialist is responsible for accelerating growth and profitability across the AWS Practice. Core priorities include acquiring new customers, driving AWS consumption revenue and scaling existing customers through the Bytes / AWS product suite - ensuring Bytes delivers maximum value and long-term success for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively work with suspects, prospects and existing customers to generate profitable sales of consultancy services and supporting workshops, solution assessments and managed services.
  • Identification of new opportunities and activities to drive migration to AWS cloud.
  • Identify opportunities to move on-prem workloads to AWS to increase AWS consumed revenue.
  • Delivering customer facing AWS, and related cloud discussions, to scope, qualify and nurture opportunities in conjunction with pre-sales.
  • Driving AWS Marketplace adoption across the existing customer base and new logo acquisitions.
  • Work closely with AWS specialists and propensity data to uncover opportunities for AWS cloud and upsell.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop opportunities within new and existing accounts by aligning AWS solutions (migration, modernisation, AI/ML, data, security, etc.) with customer business needs.
  • Assist with the creation of sales/pre-sales collateral, as well as maintaining content and knowledge.
  • Represent Bytes at customer events such as conferences, discussion forums, training events, webinars and live customer facing events.
  • Demonstrate capability and knowledge across AWS cloud through knowledge-share via internal sales training, internal presentations, and marketing contributions such as whitepapers.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business outcomes, positioning AWS as a strategic enabler of innovation and scalability.
  • Create a network within AWS that we can use to win new customers and explore new avenues of business, utilising the many partner programs on offer.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of AWS and related Bytes services.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Bytes managed services & complimentary vendors.
  • An understanding of the Bytes Partner Eco-system.
  • Understanding and awareness of multiple AWS cloud offerings and services, modern work and security.
  • Understanding of AWS pricing models, cloud consumption cost optimisation strategies.
  • Understanding of AWS UK structure and established contacts across technical and sales teams.
  • Ability to navigate and utilise AWS cloud tools/platforms to demonstrate capabilities to customers.
  • Regular touch with Sales Teams to ensure awareness of relevant programs and offerings.
  • Engagement with Bytes wider propositions to help identify further opportunities in our customer base.
