Overall Description of the Post within the Team and Organisation
To provide full payroll function to employees and work closely with the Payroll & Benefits Manager and HR to process relevant documentation to ensure completion of tasks on time and without error.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Bytes Software Services payroll and ensure all documentation is accurate and completed in sufficient time for payroll processing.
- Work with the Payroll & Benefits Manager to ensure commission structures, pay plans and commission payments are processed correctly.
- Assist with HR duties related to payroll changes and pay deductions or adjustments.
- Provide highly effective pay‑related processing and support for employees, support and engagement with finance and management at Bytes.
Individual Responsibilities
- Payroll collation and processing:
- Tracking and inputting data as it is received
- Managing spreadsheets to ensure data is accurate
- Liaising with benefit providers on deductions and pay changes
- Liaising with HR and managers on sickness, parental leave and unpaid leave
- Processing payroll reports and reconciling pay elements
- Processing the monthly payroll after all checks have been made
- Processing starters and leavers, checking data submission, tax status and payments due
- Fulfilling third‑party requirements within monthly pay cycle
- Assist Payroll & Benefits Manager in calculation of employees’ monthly commission/OTE payments
- Manage employee personal information, job or remuneration changes
- Deal with payroll and benefits enquiries, and support employees
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Educational Qualifications:
- English Language & Grammar (assessed via skill check)
- Maths (assessed via skill check)
- CIPP Payroll Training or Qualification
- 1 year in a Payroll position
- Strong competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- On the job training will be provided along with systems training
