Mission
This role exists to drive the development and evolution of our E-Commerce Marketplace platform, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that are scalable, maintainable and commercially valuable.
As a hands-on Lead Software Developer, you will play a key role in designing, building and enhancing modern applications across a technology stack that includes React, Type Script, .
NET and Azure.
You will influence technical direction, support engineering best practices and help raise development standards across the team.
Working closely with engineering, product and business stakeholders, you will contribute to the ongoing growth and success of a platform that sits at the heart of our digital strategy.
- What you will deliver within the role
- You will design and build scalable, production-grade web applications that deliver high levels of performance and reliability.
- You will contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions, helping shape the evolution of the platform.
- You will develop high-quality, maintainable frontend applications using React and Type Script.
- You will build, enhance and maintain APIs and backend services using . NET technologies.
- You will participate actively in technical discussions, reviews and architectural trade-offs.
- You will conduct code reviews and champion engineering quality, maintainability and best practices.
- You will collaborate closely with product, commercial and support teams to deliver business-critical functionality.
- You will troubleshoot and resolve production issues across the full technology stack.
- You will support and mentor mid-level engineers, helping to develop capability and drive continuous improvement within the team.
- You will contribute ideas, innovation and technical improvements that enhance both the platform and engineering processes.
- 5–8 years of commercial software engineering experience in production environments.
- Demonstrable experience operating as a Senior Engineer with ownership of features, services or systems.
- Strong commercial experience with React and Type Script, typically gained over 3+ years.
- Proven track record building scalable, production-grade user interfaces and web applications.
- Solid hands-on experience with . NET /. NET Core and service-based architectures.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, system performance and application reliability.
- Experience delivering customer-facing, revenue-impacting or business-critical platforms.
- Experience working within Azure or comparable cloud environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker and modern development practices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, technical ownership and a collaborative approach to engineering.
- Experience within e-commerce, marketplace or transactional platforms is highly desirable.
