Academic Relations Manager – Management Research Institute
Responsibilities
- Network Development: Cultivate and manage a network of key opinion leaders, experts, and scholars at premier universities and research institutions in Europe and North America, with a primary focus on Artificial Intelligence and related domains;
- Technology Intelligence & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on emerging technologies, university research breakthroughs, talent landscapes, and industry trends to generate reports;
- Partnership & Collaboration: Identify, evaluate, and execute strategic collaboration opportunities with academic partners. This includes joint research projects, joint research labs, and other forms of research cooperation;
- Influence & Engagement: Establish and grow ByteDance\’s presence and influence within the academic community by building information-sharing platforms and facilitating high-impact engagement activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM discipline such as Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field;
- A self-motivated individual with high intellectual curiosity, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong desire to learn and grow in emerging fields;
- Professional proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Preferred qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in university relations, corporate strategy, management consulting, venture capital, or tech entrepreneurship;
- A proven track record of managing academic-industrial collaborations, such as research projects, academic conferences, joint labs, scholarship programs, or academic competitions.
