What you will be doing
- Installation
- Install, commission, and hand over Bystronic machines at customer sites in line with company requirements
- Assemble electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Support installations at trade fairs and exhibitions
- Breakdowns
- Diagnose and resolve faults through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Maintenance
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on customer machines
- Repair electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Machine Operation & Customer Support
- Deliver operator training covering safety, maintenance, and machine use
- Provide technical advice and on-site support to customers
- Assist with physical tasks such as loading/unloading equipment
- Perform CNC/PLC software updates and validate system performance
- Other Responsibilities
- Complete service reports, installation documentation, and customer feedback in CRM systems
- Follow and contribute to quality improvements in line with ISO standards
- Manage spare parts requests and logistics
- Support sales and service teams with technical input
- Track and resolve quality complaints
Your education & experience
- Technical qualification (apprenticeship, college, or degree) in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field
- Experience in maintenance, installation, or field service (minimum 2 years desirable)
Technical knowledge:
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
- Working knowledge of CNC/PLC systems and drive systems
- Experience with troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Familiarity with IT systems (CRM, DMS, LMS, Microsoft Windows)
- Understanding of safety regulations, including working with high voltage and pressure systems
