What you will be doing

  • Installation
    • Install, commission, and hand over Bystronic machines at customer sites in line with company requirements
    • Assemble electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
    • Support installations at trade fairs and exhibitions
  • Breakdowns
    • Diagnose and resolve faults through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Maintenance
    • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on customer machines
    • Repair electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Machine Operation & Customer Support
    • Deliver operator training covering safety, maintenance, and machine use
    • Provide technical advice and on-site support to customers
    • Assist with physical tasks such as loading/unloading equipment
    • Perform CNC/PLC software updates and validate system performance
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Complete service reports, installation documentation, and customer feedback in CRM systems
    • Follow and contribute to quality improvements in line with ISO standards
    • Manage spare parts requests and logistics
    • Support sales and service teams with technical input
    • Track and resolve quality complaints

Your education & experience

  • Technical qualification (apprenticeship, college, or degree) in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Experience in maintenance, installation, or field service (minimum 2 years desirable)

Technical knowledge:

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
  • Working knowledge of CNC/PLC systems and drive systems
  • Experience with troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Familiarity with IT systems (CRM, DMS, LMS, Microsoft Windows)
  • Understanding of safety regulations, including working with high voltage and pressure systems
