In your role as a General Manager, you are responsible for the daily operations of your restaurant and team. You need to meet all KPIs (Stock & Waste Management, Team Development, Labour, Conversion, SLC and Guest Feedback) while creating a positive working environment, ensuring guest experience is consistently brilliant and that your team and restaurant are safe.

  • You need to achieve commercial success by driving top line sales while controlling profit through a productive and engaged team.
  • You must be able to think ahead to anticipate and pre-empt financial risk by reacting to short-term and long-term business needs.
  • You should know your KPI numbers on the tip of your tongue: sales, COS, labour, team turnover, GRI & conversion.
  • You need to keep energy up when under pressure, ensuring the team are Doing It Properly.
  • You must be able to challenge the norm in a respectful way and speak up to improve what Byron does and how we work while responding well when challenged by others.
  • You need to be able to adjust your style and ways of working depending on the situation, remaining nimble at all times.
