The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
To maintain the Home to a high standard, liaising with contractors and outsourced specialists as required. To keep Registered Manager informed of any works required. There will be a number of jobs that will follow a set pattern as follows:
- To check the maintenance book daily and carry out any repairs as necessary.
- To visually check the fire panel each day and report any faults showing.
- To test the fire system weekly and complete the fire log.
- To visually check the fire extinguishers weekly and report any faults.
- To check and log the hot water temperatures weekly.
- To clear out tumble dryers weekly.
- To check and clear the cooker hoods and filters in the kitchen every 2 weeks.
- To carry out annual PAT testing of the Homes' electrical items, if capable.
- To complete the legionella test of water tanks using the test kit provided by our outsourced specialist annually.
General responsibilities will be as follows:
- To be conversant with Health and Safety Policies.
- To adhere to Health and Safety Regulations and report any accidents or unusual occurrences to clients, staff or self, promptly to a manager.
- To decorate vacated rooms as requested following the correct procedure.
- To keep grounds and car park tidy and clutter free at all times.
- To keep the gardens well maintained.
- To carry out high cleaning as per schedules.
- To be conversant with all of the machinery/equipment within the Homes, check and maintain if capable.
- To maintain the confidentiality of all clients and staff within the Homes.
- To adhere to the policy of not accepting gifts from the clients/providers without the permission of the Manager.
- To adhere to the Home's No Smoking Policy.
- To report any concerns, you may have regarding a vulnerable adult within our care to Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- All round DIY skills, preferable to be a tradesman but not essential.
- Must be a driver with own vehicle.
