A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing company based in Coulsdon. You will be fully responsible for the small finance team and oversee the purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control function.
Duties will include:
- Manage the accounts team
- Oversee the general ledger function
- Nominal ledger reconciliation
- Oversee all transactions on accounting software
- Use Sage Accounts System to undertake daily/weekly reconciliations of bank and credit card statements
- Processing the monthly BACS payments and maintaining accurate records for authorisation
- Paying staff expenses ensuring they are properly authorised
- Sage Payroll processing and journals
- VAT reports
- Controlling all outstanding invoices and ensuring prompt payment
- Processing monthly petty cash sheets and preparing cheques for top-up
- Maintaining a file of and checking direct debit payments
- Maintaining all financial records and data accurately and within agreed timescale
- Managing company expenses and reducing overheads
- Credit control of new accounts
You must have:
- Previous team leadership
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience within a commercial environment would be beneficial
