Volunteer Board Member at BYOU Impact Foundation | Remote | Non-profit | Flexible Commitment

Every day, people are ending their lives, not because they don’t want help, but because they can’t access it. They’re stuck on waiting lists, silenced by shame, and simply forgotten by the health system. At the same time, thousands of wellbeing professionals are ready to serve, but they remain out of reach due to broken infrastructure. The BYOU Impact Foundation is here to change that. We’re a global, digital platform that gives people free and easy access to healing. Because mental health should be a fundamental human right, every day and everywhere.

About the Role

We are currently seeking volunteer Board Members to join the Board. This is a remote leadership role (preferably in the London area) where you’ll provide high-level oversight, offer strategic input, and help shape the direction and growth of the Foundation. As a Board Member, you’ll serve as both a visionary and an active contributor, guiding decisions, advocating for the mission, and opening doors to new opportunities, partnerships, and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight for programs and partnerships
  • Participate in quarterly board meetings (virtual)
  • Contribute to fundraising and resource development efforts
  • Help ensure good governance, ethical standards, and financial oversight
  • Advocate for the Foundation’s mission in your network and field
  • Serve as an ambassador and thought partner in key decisions
  • Collaborate with fellow board members and the Founder

Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience in leadership, governance, or non-profit strategy
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills
  • Passion for healing, equity, and mental health advocacy
  • Background in one or more of the following is highly valued:
  • Health insurance
  • Mental health institutions or therapy
  • Public health or healthcare
  • Government or policy
  • Education and youth support
  • Social entrepreneurship or non-profit work
  • Prior board or committee experience is a plus, but not required
  • Why Join Us?

    • Be part of a global mission to make mental health and wellbeing free and accessible
    • Co-create impactful initiatives that directly support those in need
    • Expand your network across sectors and countries
    • Help shape the future of a fast-growing foundation making real change
    • Give back in a deeply meaningful, soul-aligned way
